Wipro Establishes a New Dedicated VMware Business Unit
Wipro Limited announced an expanded collaboration to assist mutual customers in accelerating their digital journeys and maximizing their VMware Cloud investments.
Wipro will launch a new dedicated VMware-focused business as part of this expanded relationship, which is aligned with Wipro broader strategy of driving growth through strategic partnerships.
The unit will leverage the power of Wipro FullStride Cloud Services’ in-depth industry expertise, as well as VMware Cross-Cloud services, to help enterprises drive increased agility, speed, and innovation. The goal will be to simplify VMware implementations and accelerate application deployment, resulting in better, faster ROI. Wipro’s new business
unit will collaborate with VMware to deepen the companies’ collaboration on deploying VMware solutions, such as VMware Anywhere Workspace, which enables employees to work from anywhere while providing more secure and frictionless experiences. As a key business outcome, all solutions will be implemented with a focus on sustainability and a lower carbon footprint.
The innovative solutions we have created with VMware thus far enable enterprises to accelerate the development and deployment of more secure modern apps and empower their global workforce while dramatically simplifying the management of multi-cloud infrastructure. Wipro will offer a full portfolio of digital transformation services across industries in collaboration with VMware, with a particular emphasis on Banking & Financial Services, Healthcare, and Consumer and Retail. The unit will draw on Wipro’s 10,000+ domain experts in these verticals, as well as expertise gained through acquisitions such as Capco and Designit.
Wipro will also significantly expand its technical competency in VMware Cross-Cloud services for multi-cloud infrastructure, modern apps, anywhere workspace, networking, and security over the next two years, with 5,000 cross-trained professionals in these areas. The company’s collaboration with VMware will be global, encompassing the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, with multimillion-dollar investments in sales, alliances, and delivery resources in each of these regions. Wipro FullStride Cloud Studios in the United States, Europe, and India will handle the delivery.
